The Delaware Contemporary was founded in 1979 with over 40 years of exhibition history. Originally The Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts known as the DCCA, the museum went through a major rebrand in 2017 of all marketing platforms including our current website.
We value and are very proud of the topical issues that have been explored through contemporary art in our spaces over the years, and are grateful to the 100s of 1000s of people from board members, staff, studio artists, and exhibiting artists who have made us who we are today. We are working to add archived information to our website as resources permit. In the meantime, if you would like information on exhibitions prior to 2016, please contact us at info@decontemporary.org.
