PROCEEDS SUPPORT THE DELAWARE CONTEMPORARY
Ellen Durkan of Iron Maiden Forge
Ellen Durkan creates and engineers her "forged fashion" series presented through runway shows and performance pieces in solo and group exhibitions around the world including our very own THE FIGURE: THE INDICATIVE AND THE ALLUSIVE on display through August 26. "Durkan’s intriguing sculptural creations often pose psychological questions of trust, power and vulnerability: Though the metal pieces make the wearer feel strong, 'they offer no physical protection like traditional armor.' And she is consistently challenged by manipulating the metal to allow it to sit correctly and comfortably on the human body." source: arts.delaware.gov/iafrecipients/2018_iafs/ellen-durkan
She recently received the Delaware Division of the Arts 2018 Individual Artist Fellowship for the Established Professional Award in Visual Arts: Sculpture.

Shannah Warwick of BlckBts
BlckBts (“black boots”) features original statement pieces showcasing casual glamour. Warwick started BlckBts six years ago with hand dyed silk pieces and has expanded to nuno felting and dyed wool resulting in one of a kind wearable pieces of art. The nuno felting technique weaves wool fibers into the felt fabric, incorporating texture and sculpture into her work. BlckBts has been featured in runway shows, galleries and in select boutiques
