GALLERY TOURS, ART-MAKING WORKSHOPS, AND STUDIO VISITS

The Delaware Contemporary values art education for school, community, corporate, and private groups. Our guided tours are image-focused and inquiry-based experiences for art lovers and makers of all levels. Visitors are encouraged to look closely at the work, share their personal perspectives, and build connections to their own lives and learning. These experiences are customizable; our museum educators and trained guides can mix and match tours, workshops, and studio visits to fit the needs of your group.

The Delaware Contemporary is a 35,000-square-foot facility located on the Wilmington Riverfront. It is a non-collecting museum that houses seven galleries, 26 artists' studios, a gift shop, auditorium, and an art-making studio. We present more than 30 exhibitions annually of regionally, nationally and internationally recognized artists who work in a variety of media.

If you are not sure if an exhibition is appropriate for your students, and you would like to learn more, we encourage you to schedule a free educators preview of the museum and/or obtain parental permission from your school prior to your visit.
