Daniel Jackson

In this new body of work, photographic still-lifes play with “impossible" compositions. Images feature temporary sculptures constructed in the studio that defy gravity and take on a surreal dimension, blurring the distinction between photography and computer generated imagery.

Daniel Jackson has been exhibiting painting and photography nationally for over 25 years in galleries and museums. He is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelors in Fine Arts and received his Masters of Studio Arts from the University of Delaware. He has received the established professional fellowship in Painting from the Delaware Division of the Arts as well as the Joan Mitchell Graduate Fellowship. This year, Jackson is the 2019 recipient of the Delaware Division of the Arts Established Professional Fellowship for photography.

Ken Mabrey

Ken Mabrey’s linear, expressive brushwork recalls the work of Reginald Marsh and Peter Paul Rubens with fantastical and voluptuous figures. His playful sketches, referred to as “mark-makings,” contain vast color range.

“Art was the one thing Mabrey found he could do as early as first and second grade that made people ask him for things. ‘I’m the kid that everybody went to ‘Can you draw me a tank?’ I could draw them a Sherman M4 tank really good.’

“He eventually put down the pencils and picked up paints.”
