Artist statement

My art is a celebration of Black joy. Through my portraits of Black women, I seek to capture and amplify their beauty, strength, and the sheer radiance that exists in their happiness. Every smile I paint is not just a representation but an invitation to feel. By incorporating 3D elements such as glitter, rhinestones, and other tactile materials, I aim to break the barrier between the viewer and the art, transforming each piece into an interactive experience of joy, love, and beauty.

I believe in the healing power of art. A smile, whether seen on a face or felt through the textures and colors of my work, can uplift, inspire, and provide solace. My goal is for my art to serve as a source of positivity, inviting viewers to connect with that happiness and take it with them. I look forward to continuing my journey, sharing my work with the world, and one day, teaching others how to use art as a tool for emotional well-being and personal growth.
